Most of you have known me since I was a little Ashlea, probably barefoot and with a bowl cut, getting into some kind of trouble in my parents’ backyard or with my cousins at Grandpa & Grandma Kleitsch’s farm. If I was wearing a dress, it was against my will, and if I was sitting still, I was being threatened with spankings. I loved every part of my childhood on the Readlyn & Fairbank side of the Wapsipinicon and could not think of a better place to continue to call home and raise our own kids.
Nowadays, some of you know me as “Cody’s Wife” or “Coach Jones’ Wife,” while others know me as “Calvin/Carver/Carissa’s Mom”. Those who know me just as Ashlea are fewer and further between. This happens a lot in this stage of life – we get so busy chasing those little feet and serving the people around us that our own identity takes a backseat.
One thing that has been true to me as a child, wife, and parent, however, is my belief that if we have gifts or abilities that can help others, we should share them.
From my playful days as a barefoot troublemaker to now navigating the financial landscape, I’ve cherished every part of my journey. As a wife, mother, and financial professional with Prime Capital Investments Advisors, I’ve seen the anxiety and confusion people face around their finances. My mission is to break down these barriers and empower everyone with financial literacy, regardless of their background or wealth.
In this series, I’ll offer unbiased insights into financial matters, with the aim of boosting confidence and stability in our communities. Money is a tool, not the end goal, and I’m here to help you navigate toward financial independence. In the meantime, make sure to visit my website (PCIACedarRapids.com) to learn a little bit about me and what I do. I wish all of the Wapsie Valley area students and athletes a strong finish to the end of the school year. I hope our seniors feel prepared and confident as they step out into the world, and I hope there is a fun and relaxing summer ahead for all of us!
Our little towns are blessed with beautiful views, a solid foundation of morals and values, and salt-of-the-earth people that make our slice of the world one of the best-kept secrets. Thanks for being a part of something great!
