The beginning of August is a trigger for big season change in our house! No more laying by the pool and watching the days go by…
Cody and the WV Football coaches are chomping at the bit to see where all of their off-season work stacks up. There is always work to do and fundamentals to pin down, so our family will see Coach Jones again sometime in November. Calvin and Carver are also in two leagues of flag football having their own fun making plays and making memories. This is their favorite sport. There is nothing better than watching them compete and make new friends.
Carissa (a.k.a. Squish) and I squeeze in Ice Cream Cone dates whenever we can while we chauffeur the madness. She makes friends on the sidelines and is her brothers’ and Dad’s biggest cheerleader!
No idle hands in our house! Hopefully there is a smooth transition from
summer to school for all of our WV and CLS students!
Something that translates from our coaching adventures to my profession as a Financial Advisor is prioritizing the best interest of those we serve. Not all kids are at the same level of athletic ability just like not all clients have the same amount of assets or the same goals and ambitions. Our fiduciary duty requires us to customize our approach to each individual’s needs. In addition to the fiduciary rule, I am a huge believer in a collaborative team approach! I don’t think any single advisor has the bandwidth to navigate clients + the constant changes in investments and legislation + financial planning + market volatility at all times.
I am lucky enough to work alongside my mentor and Partner of the firm, Joe Harrish, as well as our Financial Planner, Taylor Yaw, who keeps us organized and efficient. Between the three of us, we are so much more effective than anything we can do alone and of course, it is much more fun!

We each bring our own pockets of experience and availabilities so that no stone is left unturned. The resources behind us are plentiful and there is no box around our capabilities. We lead with financial literacy, often incorporate a Financial Plan, then work it backwards to find the best path for our clients. From passive mutual fund-like investments to complex investments like covered calls, structured notes, and private funds, we seek to find solutions for all sizes of ambitions.
